Blythswood Square Hotel (Room)Blythswood Square Hotel (Room)Is it hard to open a new hotel? Ask any veteran hotelier, and they will tell you it certainly is. Add to the mix, renovating a historic and listed building and the complex becomes sublime.

I can only say that Peter Taylor and Hans Rissmann are pretty clever guys. Having known Peter for almost 20 years, it comes as no surprise. So to open, the eagerly awaited, Blythswood Square, what do they do? They get the Best Loved Team to take six of their brand new ‘virgin’ bedrooms and give them the once over. Poor Peter and Hans! Well, as typically with the Townhouse Company, we get the brief – only the best will do. So much so, that given our robust observations they now hate us. The good news is that the launch will get firmer and firmer over the next few weeks. And we will be back next month with an update!
